Rotor Assembly for 600 Hz Fermi Chopper |
Summary:
MSC recently completed a feasibility study on a design, production
and testing of a rotor assembly for a 600 Hz Fermi Chopper using
advanced materials. We were able to identify materials and configurations
that show promise of meeting the Fermi Chopper performance requirements.
Because of the nature of composite materials, validating the candidate
configurations required carrying the designs to a high-level of
completion, and performing detailed stress analysis.
